This was our first ride of the day at SFoG.  We wanted to ride "the new ride" first, figuring that the lines would probably be the longest for most of the day.  Pictured with David and I is his best friend Tyler, and Tyler's friend Terry.  This was Terry's first time on a coaster - EVER.  As you can see, he's thrilled (NOT).

The Georgia Cyclone was a coaster we missed on our first trip to SFoG last year.  It was not open when we were there in 2005, but fortunately this year, it was open.  It's a rather wild wooden coaster - good speed and lots of hills.

Ok, ok, it's not technically a coaster, but the log ride at Waldameer in Erie, PA is the only ride with an on-ride photo.

As a kid, I visited Waldameer many times.  Some of those classic rides are still there, and they bring back lots of memories.

For years (since becoming a coaster geek), I've heard nothing but good things about Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.  All of the talk I have heard was true.  It was a truly fun and great place, and the free soft drinks were a major bonus.  I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

This was our second ride on The Voyage.  We decided to ride in the last car, which is our usual favorite.  As you can see from the photo, I was in a bit of pain by the time we got to the photo.  Overall though, The Voyage is one of my top favorite wood coasters.

Poor Adrienne.  As the lone girl on our trip this year, she usually rode alone, or with a stranger.  In this case, some loser jumped in the seat next to her, and insisted on trying to have an inane conversation with her.

Most of the coasters at SFKK are very poorly maintained, and for a B&M coaster (which are usually very smooth and fun to ride), Chang was a real headbanger.  Heck, we only rode it a second time to get a better on-ride photo.

Eh.  Nothing special to say about this coaster either.  I bought the photo to add it to the collection - also figuring we won't be going back to SFKK any time soon.

In the years that David and I have been going to parks, he has always "gone on" about how much he loves The Beast.  Finally this summer we make it to Kings Island, and David's yen for riding it was satisfied.  Even better was we got a nighttime ride on it right near closing time in the front row.  What fun!

This was our first coaster of the day at Kings Island.  It was a fun little ride, with cars that were modeled after Mini Coopers.  The photo took forever to get because some mother ordered like a million photos on keychains for all her annoying kids.

This was the only on-ride photo that managed to capture all five of us in one shot.  For once I kept my hands down because everyone gets on my case about having my hands up and blocking someone in the picture.

Don't even ask.  (Like it needs much explanation??)

Ok, once again this isn't a "real" on-ride photo, but I needed another photo to fill out the page.  David actually has the original of this photo since PKI is one of his most favorite parks.

While El Toro opened back in June, we had a tough time getting a good on-ride photo.  Yes, I'm making bull horns on my head - how original eh?

Our annual call trip to Cedar Point included a new recruit this year, my friend Josh from the chorus.  While the first two days of our trip had excellent weather, the last day (Sunday) was positively miserable - rain, wind, cold - you name it.  Here we are, bundled up in about 5 layers each, riding Millennium Force in the rain.
